Occasional Lockdown Pieces: Crooked House & Kildare Youth Theatre
Updated: Mar 21, 2021
This is the second in a series of short works produced by our volunteers during the COVID-19 lockdown, known as 'Occasional Lockdown Pieces'
In this short video, Greek theatre facilitator Athina Fragkou showcases a day in the life of a volunteer at Kildare Youth Theatre during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video outlines how we are operating online and what it looks when when theatre moves from the stage on to Zoom.
Athina is one of Crooked House Theatre Company's ESC (European Solidarity Corps) volunteers. The volunteers are here for one year helping to run Kildare Youth Theatre and to facilitate drama workshops for secondary schools. 'Occasional Lockdown Pieces' is a scheme organised by our Artistic Director Peter Hussey which encourages all our volunteers this year to show some artistic flair through video-pieces.
Athina, from Athens, co-facilitates our Touchstone & Oberon workshops and also our project with Socil Mhuire. She is also playing the role of Jessica in our 2021 Merchant of Venice production. More about Athina can be read on our Current People page.
The first Occasional Lockdown Piece, by Turkish volunteer Oguzhan can be viewed here.
