COVID-19 Annoucement: Suspension of In-Person Activities until 27/01
Updated: Mar 8, 2022
We regret to inform all our members that two of our team have recently tested positive for COVID-19. We have subsequently decided to move all Kildare Youth Theatre activities online until Wednesday, January 26th.
This will mean all workshops, rehearsals, and planned activites which were due to take place between now and Wednesday the 26th of Janurary will take place online, on Zoom. Anyone who is affected by this change will be emailed directly by their facilitators or director. Check your emails regularly for updates and Zoom links.
We made this decision with the safety of our team and all our members in mind, and in line with government recommendations and restrictions. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
All of our team are fully vaccinated and test regularly. The positive COVID-19 cases were identified and isolated on the first day of symptoms - and therefore we do not believe any of our members are close contacts. We will contact any members directly, and their parents, if the situation changes. However, a number of our European Solidarity Corps volunteers are considered close contacts and this further necessitates our need to move online.
We will return back to in-person sessions from Thursday, 27th January. This is the period where it is deemed there is no further risk of transmission. Our Liffey Studio will be fully cleaned and sanitised in the meantime.
If you have any questions regarding moving online we recommend you contact your facilitator or director directly. You can find their emails on our People page.
If you have any other concerns or queries, or would like to know about our COVID-19 protocols and how we ensure the safety of our team and members, you can contact us at info[at]crookedhouse[dot]ie.
