KYT perform in London's National Theatre
NT Connections Festival , July 2015
We were delighted to be invited by the National Theatre in London to present 'Hospital Food' by Eugene O'Hare there on July 3rd. It played in the Dorfman stage as part of the 2015 Connections Festival.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the cast and crew, accompanied by family, well-wishers, and chaperones.
Assisted by an incredibly generous team from the NT, who facilitated the transfer of the show (and of the company) seamlessly from Newbridge to London, the young company "played throughout with sensitivity and occasional subtle brilliance" and received a standing ovation after their performance.
(This was the third time Kildare Youth Theatre was invited with a performance to the National (in 2003 and in 2008).
